Who is Miss Debauchery?

Mmm. I love the smell of a fresh blog, and it's certainly about time that I had a place to document my experience with and thoughts on everything in the world of sexy things. So, a little about me, first.

My name is Dawn, but you can call me Dawn Debauchery. The nickname is one I earned in Boston while working with the local Rocky Horror cast. I was the girl running around in her underwear and dancing in front of a crowded theater. At all the parties I went to, I was the 'naked fairy' making other people take their clothes off and kicking the parties up a notch. My lady love and I would make it a habit of running around in nothing but boots, stockings, and belts. Maybe there's a slight amount of exhibitionist in me. I have no idea, but I do know that there was a lot of fun for everyone back then.

I don't do that stuff very much anymore, but I still have a whole lot of fun doing what I do. I'm an art-school drop out (photography and art therapy). Somehow, I made it back into school and I'm being a total nerd over psychology. In my free time, I snuggle my kitty, drink awesome beer, make art, and play video games. I really don't have too much free time, though. Not after the other things I do now.

So what's with the sex biz stuff? Well, I started to get interested in it when I was one of those barely legal babies. At some point, I decided I wanted to have nekkid pictures of me on the internet. I did a few photoshoots and I was supposed to be on a site that's run by a popular name in the alt-porn business, but I had a change of heart and never ended up with anything going live. After that, my interest in the sex industry was put on the back burner for a while.

Fast forward to me at 24. I'd been without a job for a long time and was desperate to find any job where I could make some money. I responded to an ad on Craigslist for an 'adult store sales associate' and got an interview the same day. The whole time before the interview I wondered whether I could actually do it. I decided to say 'fuck it' and went through with the interview and I got hired on the spot and started the following day. I guess my manager could just see my potential (potential perv, that is).

So, I start at my store not really knowing too much about toys. I remember thinking how much I needed 'a small vibrator' to use during sex, because my third toy in my life, the Cal Exotic Platinum Edition Rabbit, had just died on me after years of faithful service and I needed a little something to get me going. Now, seven months later,  I'm ranked #7 out of thousands of reviewers. I write for their Eden Cafe blog. I run the Arts and Crafts club.
